We pride ourselves on our family’s tradition of hard work, honest values, and selfless service. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, we provide the community with the highest quality fresh produce from our fields, beef and pork from our pasture raised livestock, eggs from our chickens, raw honey from our hives, daily baked goods from our scratch bakery, homemade specialties from our kitchen, and artfully grown plants from our greenhouses.
Flagship Location in Wyckoff, NJ: We’ve been part of the Wyckoff, NJ landscape for over 90 years; nine decades and five generations later, we are still Bergen County’s only produce and egg farm. Visit our Farm Market, Petting Zoo, and Greenhouses for a wonderful, country farm experience! Here in Wyckoff, we also host a CSA crop share program, PYO events, Summer Camp, Birthday Parties, and seasonal events for adults and children of all ages.
Our 32-acre farm located at 700 Lawlins Road in Wyckoff, NJ dates to the 1790s; the homestead and out-buildings are well preserved and kept in their original state. Our largest Dutch style barn, one of the few 200+ year old barns still standing in Bergen County, has been converted into a thriving retail market with a “scratch” bakery and a gourmet kitchen. We grow our boutique crops here and host U-Pick events throughout the year.
Hillsborough, NJ: We recently opened a second location in Hillsborough, NJ: the home of our beef, pork, and chicken production, as well as our larger produce farm. Here we host a roadside Farm Market, Petting Zoo, CSA crop share program, and PYO events.
Over 500+ acres in Hillsborough, NJ allow us the high acreage to grow our main crops, such as sweet corn, Jersey tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, watermelon, beans, and more, as well as hay, grain, and straw. Our Family...
We live here, work here, and play here! Our family is blessed to live on the farm; it’s truly a unique gem in the local suburban and metropolitan area. We wear many hats, from collecting eggs to picking corn, ringing up customers and answering phone calls, fixing equipment, and creating events that share our home and life with the community.
In the past decade, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the 5th generation of the Abma family into the world. As our family grows, we want to share our milestones with you!
Cultivating Memories and Traditions...
More than anything, Abma’s is about family – ours and yours – and sharing the unique experience of living and working on a farm with you and your children. During planting season, harvest season, and beyond, it is our goal to reconnect you with us (your local farmer!) through education, events, social media, and more. We invite you to personally share in our family traditions; everything from visiting the Easter Bunny, to picking strawberries in the patch, to enjoying a fresh turkey and all the trimmings at Thanksgiving, to sitting at a cozy bonfire with s’mores after visiting Santa. Year after year we plan events based on our own fond memories as children, and the memories we want to create for our children now.
