Get Hands-On This Summer at Abma's Farm!

Runs weekly from July 13 through August 21.

Ages 5-10

Down on the farm, we believe in learning hands-on, while having tons of fun! This year, enroll your child in a summer camp program they can truly benefit from.

Abma’s Farm Summer Camp utilizes our own greenhouses and vegetable fields to provide an exciting and educational experience for kids. Camp goals include: gardening, farming, learning about nature’s creatures, and learning how our environment works.

We put a fun spin on education, making sure all children enjoy their summer while gaining valuable knowledge about the outdoors. Based on weekly themes, children learn hands-on at our camp garden, meet and greet with special knowledgeable guests, and create new lasting friendships with other children! Each week, we’ll have a “Friend of the Farm” visit from a special guest related to that week’s theme. A fun take home is included each week based the theme.

Our curriculum is based upon the Master Gardener and 4-H programs; we are constantly expanding and incorporating new information about farming and gardening. Each week brings fun new projects, experiments, and crafts for our campers. We teach all facets of gardening, nutrition, beneficial insects, and our environment.

Children should wear clothes appropriate to play inside and outside.

Summer Camp Schedule

*DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, SUMMER CAMP WEEKS WILL NOW BE CONDENSED TO FIT A VARIETY OF FARM THEMES IN EVERY WEEK. THE THEMES BELOW REPRESENT WHAT WOULD *NORMALLY* BE OUR SUMMER CAMP WEEK THEMES.

My daughter, age 7, attended Abma’s Farm Summer Camp this summer.  It was a well-organized camp with patient and knowledgeable counselors.  The theme that week was “harvesting” and wow, did she harvest!  She came home with kale, potatoes, carrots and even honey!  She learned how different vegetables and fruits are planted, cultivated and harvested.  The best part of camp?  Preparing and trying new foods from the garden!  She was excited to meet Mr. Abma, the farm staff and of course, the animals.  All in all, it was a memorable week created by Abma’s farm.  My daughter had the most amazing time at camp last week.  THANK YOU to all the counselors and staff who made it a wonderful week!  She already misses Abma’s Farm Camp!
