About Our Story Tellers!

Marissa Hyde has worked in education throughout Bergen County for the past 6 years. The first two years were spent teaching 3rd and then 4th grade. After that, she realized it was really her love of books and reading that she wanted to share with children and that's when she decided to become a Elementary School Librarian. This switch from classroom to library has turned out to be the perfect fit! Now, everyday she is encouraging students to find out what makes them tick and to read everything they can about it! Marissa is so excited to be part of the Camp Cock-A-Doodle-Do, this summer and share her love of books with all the little chickadees.
Kathy McCann has been Abma's Farms resident storyteller and Mrs. Claus (ssshhh...) since 2017. Before retiring she worked with middle and high school students as a youth minister. Kathy has been married to Santa for 51 years and they have 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. She loves to spend time traveling and with her family. Kathy is also a volunteer committee member with the Glen Rock Senior Advisory Board and is very involved in issues relating to senior citizens.
